While making my daily door knocks with Shannon,the advertising rep who is my synergy cold calling partner on Thursday Our nineteenth walk in landed us inside the office of a drug research study company. We met Joseph the owner,manager who invited us in to his office to explain what we do.
Shannon went first and said,” local newspaper advertising “. Joseph then explained that his company recruits people to participate in FDA approved pharmaceutical studies. Presently he is recruiting 300 participates for an acne cream study. He explained that ages 12 to 40 qualify for the study,it requires use of the product with four monthly check ups to monitor the results and it pays the people who participate. He then explained how his tv ads were not getting enough candidates and his deadline was approaching quickly. He asked Shannon to sign him up for advertising in her paper which reaches 80,000 readers less than Five miles of Joseph’s testing clinic.
After Shannon finished I handed Joseph a flyer for a office park the my Real Estate company had the assignment to lease office space. I asked if he new anyone that needs really nice space close by to ask them to give me a call. He then said,”I didn’t realize that you both worked for different companies”. I then explained that we make cold calls together to stay accountable to doing our 10 walk ins per day. I told him about our MCC system, our you tube reality show and how Shannon is one of the stars. I explained how she used the show to break her fear of door knocking for business. I mention the books and course I created to help sales people cold call. Then I mentioned how we are finding college student paid internships to act as a 1099 sales forces for companies that need door knockers and telemarketers. Joseph proceed to tell me how disappointed he was with a
Company he previously hired to find qualified candidates. He said he paid for a lot of unqualified appointments. I explained to him more about how our system and program worked. He believed how effective these methods are for finding qualified participants quickly. He hired our Turner Cole Sales Coaching prospecting company to handle the canvassing to enroll people for this acne study that day.
I am still amazed that making cold calls with a synergy partner can: 1. Make an uncomfortable sales activity fun. 2. Solved two problems for a business owner. 3. Found a new customer for two separate sales people.4. Created a paying internship for college students.
